YVONNE SUM
Yvonne is a speaker and facilitator of corporate education within Australia and internationally. Although her formal training is in dentistry, and many of her professional speaking engagements have been in this industry, her broad knowledge of business coupled with her deep interest and wisdom around human behaviour, make Yvonne an extraordinarily effective facilitator of change.
She is a dynamic international speaker who recently presented at dental symposiums for IDEM, Victorian Dental Therapists Association and Women in Dentistry conference, and the Pfizer Consumer Healthcare Cycle Meeting in Sydney. She continues to facilitate the Advanced Modules CE workshops for the Australian Society of Hypnosis.
Yvonne designed and facilitated the first Communications Skills course for dental undergraduates at the University of Sydney in 1994, and continues to teach these business skills and systems to final year students. Her current position as Clinical Mentor in the Faculty of Dentistry's new 4-year Graduate Dental Program provides a platform for her to facilitate the integration of the clinical skills of the students as well as be at the forefront of developing the curriculum. She has also lectured at the University of Melbourne.
Yvonne coaches one-on-one and counsels as an NLP Master Practitioner to maximise human potential in corporate leadership, business, health, relationships and parenting skills. She has been a media spokesperson for the Australian Dental Association since 1999, and has appeared as the resident dentist on an Australian national lifestyle television show At Home.
She developed a Life Program for her two children after attending the Institute for the Achievement of Human Potential in Philadelphia in 1998, and continues to motivate and facilitate other families in this direction.
